What is the solution to the equation f(x)=g(x) ?

x = 2

First substitute:

f(x) = g(x)

2^x - 1 = -x + 5

Combine like terms:

2^x + x = 6

Use guess and check/logic to find the answer:

2^(2) + (2) = 6 [it works therefore x =2]
